vendor market

Interesting Things features a pop-up Vendor Market, typically hosted on weekends and holidays, featuring local artisans and retailers with a variety of goods. Our recent (and returning!) vendors have sold skin care products, nail art, hair accessories, handmade soap, brooches and stickers, artwork and much more. Check out a few of our past vendors and their products below.

We are no longer accepting vendor applications for the remainder of 2024. Stay tuned for future vendor market opportunities — we will share about upcoming independently-hosted pop-up markets on our Instagram page!

Self-care can be defined in many ways, but I see it as anything you do to help keep yourself in a good mental state.

Jessica Poon Woo
Founder & Jeweller, JPW Jewellery
Owner, Interesting Things

Jessica Poon Woo is the owner of Interesting Things and the store's resident goldsmith. Under the moniker JPW Jewellery, Jessica makes "wearable self-care": tactile pieces with organic curves, textures and moving parts. Her work often involves creating shapes from uplifting words and affirmations that serve as little inspirational reminders.

Jessica began to craft jewellery while on leave from her job as a high school Math teacher due to health problems. She took a course called Jewellery Making for Complete Beginners at a community college and quickly fell in love with the work, especially the satisfaction of holding and wearing a piece of jewellery made with your own hands. She went on to study goldsmithing and jewellery design in the Jewellery Arts program at George Brown College in Toronto, graduating from the program and continuing her work through JPW Jewellery.

Jessica works primarily in sterling silver, but also uses brass, copper, and gold. With sustainability at the forefront of her artistic practice, she buys used tools, supplies and metal whenever possible, and integrates offcuts (metal scraps left over from other projects) in much of her work. Jessica believes that turning discarded waste into something beautiful enhances the positivity of the piece.

Working in residence at her new Kensington Market storefront, Interesting Things, Jessica looks forward to her designs and work evolving as she creates jewellery. You can see many of her recent pieces on her Instagram @jpwjewellery or visit Jessica to see and buy her jewellery in person at Interesting Things, located at 173 Baldwin Street in downtown Toronto.
