Interesting Things is a brand new, family-run store in the heart of Kensington Market. Alongside our traditional retail space, we proudly host independent vendors to sell outside our storefront and at our Pop-up vendor markets which take place in our covered outdoor event space Vending opportunities will be held from May to September 2025.
Starting this spring, we welcome local vendors to rent space in front of our store 7 days a week to sell their goods alongside our store's products, which include jewellery, games and activities, trading cards, plushies, figurines, collectibles, Canadian snacks, and more.
Each year we enjoy Kensington Market's monthly Pedestrian Sundays from May through October, on which the streets of the neighbourhood are closed to vehicles for a street festival on the last Sunday of the month starting at 1PM. On Pedestrian Sundays, 4 additional vendor spaces will be available outside of our storefront. 2 tables will be located directly in front of the shop and the other 2 tables will be at the edge of the sidewalk or edge of the street.
Here at Interesting Things, we are lucky enough to have a beautiful space in the back of our store where we previously hosted Vendor Pop-up markets. We are excited to announce we have opened our Vendor call for our 2025 Pop-up markets. We will be hosting these markets every weekend beginning the first weekend of May and ending the last weekend of September.

location & hours
Interesting Things is located at 173 Baldwin Street in Toronto's lively Kensington Market, nestled between Chinatown and Little Italy, easily accessible by foot and public transit.
Our Spring 2025 hours are projected to be 11am - 7pm, 7 days a week with a flexible closing time depending on foot traffic (opening days and hours subject to change).

Our back patio space where we will be hosting our Pop-up markets is roughly 460 square feet, with a large acrylic cover to protect you from the elements. It can fit 10 tables comfortably for shared or independent vendor use. The main entrance and exit to the space is located at the back of our store but can also be accessed through the lane way next to Sleepy Pete’s from Kensington Avenue, just south of Baldwin Street.
Vendors renting space with us at our storefront will be protected from above by an awning that extends up to 10 feet. Vendors are able to set up beginning at 11:00am and may stay past 7pm if the market remains busy with customers. We will host vendors throughout the summer and possibly into the fall, weather-pending.
We do not have dedicated parking for vendors at this time, but metered street parking is available on our block and nearby in the surrounding neighbourhood (with the exception of Pedestrian Sundays, on which Kensington Market is closed to cars for the majority of the day).
*Separate from vendor tables, we also have the back patio space available to rent for independently-run Vendor -Markets. Please fill out our basic contact form to inquire. Independently-run Vendor market applications should be submitted at least 6-8 weeks in advance of requested dates.
